Dallas County April Election Results Arrive

Voters in Dallas County turned out to cast their ballots for a variety of local issues and candidates, including city council seats, school board positions, and bond proposals.

The following unofficial election results were provided to the County Free Press by the Dallas County Clerk’s office. Under Missouri law, election results cannot be certified before noon on the Friday after election day. The totals below only reflect Dallas County voters.

To choose by ballot three (3) directors who shall serve as members of the Board of Education of said School District for a term of three years only.

Shall the Fair Grove Fire Protection District issue its general obligation bonds in the amount of three million dollars ($3,000,000) for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, improving, equipping, and maintaining fire stations, and purchasing or replacing emergency medical equipment, fire protection and fire-fighting apparatus and auxiliary equipment and vehicles to meet current safety standards, improve emergency services and carry out the objectives and purposes of the District, disposing of any replaced or outdated property, and refunding outstanding lease obligations of the District?

Proposition I

To choose by ballot three (3) board members who shall serve as members of The Board of Education of said district for a term of three years each.

Question

Shall Marshfield R-1 School District issue its general obligation bonds in the amount of $10,000,000, estimated to result in no increase to the District’s debt service property tax levy, for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, improving, repairing, renovating, furnishing and equipping school facilities, including constructing a storm shelter at the East campus and expanding the agriculture department shop?

If this question is approved, the District’s debt service property tax levy is estimated to remain unchanged at $0.60 per $100 of assessed valuation of real and personal property.

Laclede County R-I School District

To choose by ballot THREE directors who shall serve as members of the Board of Education of said school district for a term of three years.
